Event Presentation
The International Symposium on Transparency in Business unites researchers, professors and students in the area of Management including professionals from the private and public sectors along with businessmen from diverse productive sectors. This event will include presentations and practical debates for more transparent management along with new strategies for transparency in business.
The current business scenario turns transparency one of the key elements in the practice of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability. The theme has been gaining increasing importance in Brazil, Latin America and the world in general.
The countable corporate frauds reviled recently have shocked the business world, society and governments, creating a fountain of need for the incorporation of discussions regarding transparency within the business
This Symposium intends to explore the knowledge about a large question within the business world, of recent day, along with promoting the interaction of different business cultures of Latin America by exchanging experiences and sharing different methods of management and transparency.
To create a base for the objectives the event will unite national and international specialists with a strong background in the subject. They will make possible the exchange of experiences and knowledge, including presentations and discussions of diverse facets of the transparency theme contributing sensitively for society as a whole.
Objectives
The realization of the International Symposium on Transparency in Business has the principal objective to increase the exchange of information and ideas amongst researchers, professors and students, professionals and businessmen.
The event intends to tackle questions such as the definition of a transparent system of management, national and international incentives to promote transparency, the role of public power and the civil society in business transparency, and others.
Event Character
The Event on Business Transparency will have the character of a Symposium which will deal with discussions of themes related to transparency in business, along with presentations of papers written and selected especially for the event.
In general, the thematic definition and structure was defined by the Event Coordination which will also oversee the planning an execution of the stated activities proposed. This includes inviting national and international specialists to participate by giving their intellectual contributions from the findings of the various fields of study, all to be presented during the event.
Initiative
Due to the actual need, being felt by the businesses that stress Social Responsibility, a group of professors and researchers from the Masters on Systems of Management MSG of the Federal University Fluminense UFF recognized a need for the realization of an event to exchange information about relevant topics in business transparency. In this sense, we would like to take on themes such as the form of implementation of transparency, the way to measure it, the tools utilized for its measurements, along with other aspects brought up in the initial discussion of the event.
Leading this idea and included in the success based firmly on the first edition, labeled Latin American, comes the initiative for the realization of the II International Symposium. Increasing International participation permits the dissemination and discussion of this theme within the world community and thus reaching a larger audience. It also creates the possibility of constructing a benchmark for practical references in management and transparency of other countries.
Target Audience
The International Symposium on Transparency in Business unites researchers, professors and students in the area of Management including professionals from the private and public sectors along with businessmen from diverse productive sectors which find themselves interested in the theme of the event.
A large national and international participation is expected, with present estimates of approximately 400 event participants, uniting specialists and representatives of the following diverse sectors. representatives of businesses, government, NGOs, researchers, and representatives of society as a whole.
